The last thing you want on your holiday is stress about the things you have forgotten to pack. To avoid the hassle and stress whilst you are on your holiday, make sure you have included the items listed below on your travel essentials checklist.

Mobile Phone
If you’re like me and is still contemplating on which camera to purchase, why not use your Phone. You use it for selfies anyway, why not use is for taking beautiful landscape and portrait photography whilst on holiday. Also, more and more phones take great quality photographs. The top phone’s I have personally used that I enjoyed taking photographs with whilst on holiday are Nokia Lumia 930 (20MP), Samsung S6 (16MP), iPhone 6 (16MP). You do not necessarily need to have the latest phone at all times, just make sure you have tried and tested it’s features or compare it against each other to make sure you have the best of both worlds, phone and camera in one.
Universal Travel Adapter – Lysleda 2 USB port
Universal Adapter Plug
This is not rocket science, please always make sure you have at least 1 universal adapter plug as this can lead you to a life and death situation with your gadgets at hand. You do not want to miss out on updating your followers and friend on social media, do you?. Make sure that you have all in one adapter plug, not those ones which come in individual packs.
Jelly Comb 6-Port USB Charging Station
5 USB Port Hub
As most of us own at least 1 electronic gadget or device, this 5 USB port hub is a lifesaver. This allows you to charge multiple devices in one go. This means you would not need that many universal adapted plug as most gadgets nowadays could be charged through the USB port. I ordered mine via Amazon Prime early 2016 and since then have been using it.
Power Bank, Jackery Giant 12000mAh
Powerbank
This must be in everyone’s packing list. Have you every experienced pulling out your phone to take a snap of that beautiful sunset then realized your phone has decided to kill itself thanks to that million selfies you have taken in the loo. I used to be a selfie addict but gone were those days, I might have gotten sick of seeing my face all over my phone that I have decided to ask other people to take a “back-fie??” back view selfie. Anyway back to power bank or portable charger, this is the only portable gadget I cannot live without during our holiday and I do carry it with me anywhere we go. The only power bank brand I do trust on Amazon is Jackery. I have previously ordered a total of 10 power banks since 2015 and Jackery(£120.00) has lasted the longest. The power bank is bulkier than the rest however its design is compact and sturdy. I have been using it since 2015 and have no issues with it whatsoever.
UPDATE: Please visit Jackery’s website instead as I have found out that they are affordable compared to the one posted on Amazon. I am in no way affiliated to Jackery but do recommend their product highly.
Note: Bought my Jackery power bank in gold back in 2015 and the price then was £30.00
Andoer Bluetooth Over-ear Headphone
Wireless headphones/earphones
Those long journeys either on a plane, train, boat, bus or car this could save you from getting bored. Not that I am asking you to completely ignore the beautiful views throughout your journey but listening to your favourite music helps uplift your mood and make you relax and enjoy the journey. Having a wireless headphones/earphones are much better as you do not need to plug it to your phone, tablet or any form of music player gadget. You could also listen to podcasts or inspirational talks that tickles your fancy. I have purchased the Andoer Wireless headphones (£16.99) in black as a Christmas gift for my Brother and so far he is enjoying it.
Unigear Dry Bag with Phone Dry Bag and Long Adjustable Shoulder Strap
Dry Bag
If you are on a beach holiday this is an essential or shall I say MUST have. No one would like to get all their stuff wet especially if you carry electronic devices i.e. your phone, camera or tablet. I have been using my dry bag as my everyday bag during my last summer holiday in Portugal. Not only can this protect your personal gadgets, wallet and such, this is also great storage for bulky items like a towel, sunscreen and all that jazz. Another plus is that all dry bags are easy to pack as they don’t take much space. I have ordered mine from Unigear (£7.99 for 10L) via Amazon which comes with a free waterproof phone protector bag. I have not tried any other Amazon brands hence I could not compare its quality to others. We used it daily during our 10 days holiday in Portugal and the bag is still in one piece.
Note: I bought 2 dry bags (both 10L) and one of them was White. If you enjoy land sports i.e. buggy and quad biking – please avoid white at all cost.
2 x IKEA ISTAD Packages (Pack of 100 Resealable Freezer Bags
Resealable bags
This is necessary if you carry a lot of liquid or products that may spill in your luggage or carry-on. This is not only applicable to all ladies out there but also applicable to all gents as gels, wax, shaving cream and moisturizers do spill. The last thing you want is an explosion of beauty or grooming products within your luggage. Better safe than sorry. I am not picky with regards to what type of resealable bags would I use, but found that Ikea’s bags are stronger in quality compared to others.
